Become a Volunteer
The conservancy works with a dedicated group of more than 75 volunteers who share their time and talents to assist us in a variety of ways. Volunteers are the foundation of an organization like Tinicum Conservancy. As a volunteer, you will provide immeasurable assistance to our efforts of maintaining our beautiful community landscape. We ask you to please donate one of your most valuable resources: your time. Rewarding volunteer opportunities are available for every skill level and ability.
What are your areas of interest, and what are your skills? Perhaps you would like to work in the office. Do you enjoy writing articles for newsletters, promoting events, or possibly helping label and stamp bulk mailings? Or perhaps you would like to work outside: River Road clean-up, building maintenance, invasive plant removal, easement monitors or lead walks of conserved properties. These are just some of the volunteer opportunities we have available.
If you are interested in becoming a Tinicum Conservancy volunteer, please complete and submit the on-line volunteer form and we will be in contact with you very soon. You may also call us for more information at 610-294-1077 or email Karen Budd, volunteer coordinator. Click here for upcoming volunteer events.
Thank you for your participation in conserving our local landscape.
“Tinicum Conservancy does so much to preserve our valuable and irreplaceable natural resources. Even as professional as it has become, the organization can't do it alone. That's why we all have to help where we can, and why I volunteer my time to support the staff and trustees of TC.”
Martie Kyde, Tinicum Resident
“I want to carry on the work started by a group of Tinicum people who had the foresight to see the need for conservation. They laid the groundwork for all of us who follow. The current group of TC volunteers are all contributing their talents and skills for the preservation of our rural life. I like to think of just being one link in a long chain stretching forward .... in perpetuity!”
Peggy Enoch, Conservancy Trustee
“Volunteering for the Tinicum Conservancy is an absolute joy. The hours are conveniently flexible, I always learn something new, and, best of all, the co-workers are simply delightful. Many, many thanks.”
Happy Shipley, Erwinna, PA
