Spotlight Series
Birds of Field and Forest Bird Walk Saturday,
June 19 8 a.m.-10 a.m.
Please join us for a bird walk to look for both
grassland and forest birds in Tinicum Township. Local birder and
Conservancy Trustee Diane Allison will lead this walk through
several conserved areas as we search for grassland birds and
forest birds. Participants will receive a Birds of Pennsylvania
Field Checklist. No birding skills are necessary. Bring
binoculars if you have them. Dress in field clothes and
appropriate footwear.
Food Production
and the Natural Landscape on a Bucks County Farm Saturday, July
24 10 a.m.– Noon
This program will
highlight the process of agriculture in conjunction with
maintaining the natural environment. Local organic farmer and
landscape architect Eve Minson will present this program at a
conserved property in Tinicum Township. Participants will learn
how agriculture can take place in harmony with the natural
ecology of the farm. Dress for the field.
Invasive Plants ID
and Management Options Saturday, September 18 10 a.m.- Noon
Kelly
Germann, Resource Specialist, and Karen Budd, Tinicum
Conservancy Trustee, will helpparticipants learn to identify
many of the common invasive species and offer management options
for each species. Some of the management options will also be
demonstrated. The program will take place on a conserved
property. Dress for the field.
These programs are free and sponsored by the
Tinicum Conservancy. They are open to the public.
