Lending Toolshed

Tinicum Conservancy's Lending Toolshed contains tools for FREE Loan to our members, volunteers and staff.  Our Lending Toolshed is just getting started! We hope to include large and small tools to help you in the management and stewardship of your property. Sometimes you need a specific tool, but don't want to purchase one of your own for that "one time" job. Or maybe you don't wish to own or store that tool. 

How to Use the Tools in the Toolshed
We will explain and/or demonstrate the proper use and care of every tool before your borrow. If you have questions, please ask! 

Want to Borrow?
Contact us and request an item: 610-294-1077 or email us. We will ask you to complete a loan agreement before you borrow an item. You may keep the item for 2 weeks and in some cases longer, if the item has not been requested by another person.
 
Although Toolshed items are free, borrowers are responsible for returning tools to Tinicum Conservancy in the same condition as when they left and clean. We realize that some wear-and-tear will occur, but if an item is damaged or broken, we must ask you to replace the item.

For Invasive Plant Removal:

Weed WrenchT is a manually-operated, all-steel tool designed to remove woody plants such as Multiflora rose, barberry, honeysuckle and sapling Norway maple trees by uprooting. Using leverage for pulling, it is an efficient, safe, and permanent means of eliminating unwanted shrubs and sapling trees. Soil disturbance is minimal and desirable plants are unharmed.  Persons of ordinary strength can use it effectively.
