What is conservation stewardship?
Stewardship is the long-term, responsible management of the land for the purpose of sustaining and enhancing the conservation values of the property.

How does the Conservancy practice stewardship?
First of all, we are mandated by Federal and State law to monitor and uphold the easement properties that the Conservancy is involved with. We are also actively involved in stewardship through the Resource Education Center, which was created to provide conservation-minded landowners, especially easement owners, with links to the professional, technical and potential financial resources necessary to accomplish their conservation goals

What do I do if I need help with identifying the stewardship needs of my easement property?
The Conservancy can help. In addition to information provided at the Resource Education Center, we can tour your property, help you identify important natural resources,and connect you with resource professionals and the information you need to manage your property.
