A Few 2011 Programs:
River Road Clean-Ups
The dates this year for the Tinicum Conservancy River Road Clean-ups (under the auspices of PennDOT's Adopt-A-Highway Program) are:
August 20 and October 15, 2011
As usual we meet at the Schneiderwind Farm across from the Frenctown Bridge at 8:00 AM or a little before. We're usually done by 10:00 AM, depending upon the number of people who come out and how trashy the highway is. Trash bags, red safety vests, bottled water and a breakfast pastry are provided. (Volunteers can bring their own favorite hot beverage.)
Potential volunteers can contact me at cedarhil@ptd.net, land line: 610-847-2935, or cell: 609-313-8142 for more information. Reminder e-mails go out one month in advance and then a few days before each event.
