Karen Budd, President:  A graduate of Temple University with a degree in horticulture and landscaping, Karen’s stint as a volunteer for The Nature Conservancy lead to a 15-year staff position with the Pennsylvania Chapter.  Although she managed preserves and coordinated volunteers for the Conservancy, Karen specialized in fire management (as the Fire Manager of Pennsylvania and Maryland and certified burn leader) and invasive plant species.  In addition to her mostly full time volunteer responsibilities as president of the Tinicum Conservancy, Karen continues to occasionally provide consulting services to TNC.

Rich Rosamilia, Treasurer:  Rich joined the Conservancy in 2004.  He and his wife have resided in Erwinna for the past 6 years.  Rich is a Civil Engineer who currently presides over the operations of an ocean sand mining company in the greater NY metropolitan region.  His business dealings over the past two decades have enabled him to establish strong business relationships with many key federal and state environmental agencies.

Peggy Enoch, Secretary:  Peggy has given the Conservancy generously of her volunteer time for three years and in January of 2007 was elected a board trustee.  In her prior life, Peggy spent 30 years in the teaching profession, working with non-profit parent co-operative preschools, the Head Start program, and the Palisades School District.  During her tenure with Palisades, Peggy wore many hats - elementary school classroom teacher, special programs instructor, Language Arts department chairperson, and Palisades Education Association officer and representative.  She is currently a board member of the Bucks County Reading Council and also sits on the Pastoral Council and Liturgy Committee at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ottsville.  To indulge her love of singing, Peggy has performed with the Palisades Community Chorus for 12 years.  Peggy's other extra-curricula interests include travel, needlework, bird watching, Sudoku and other puzzles, skiing and kayaking.   She has lived in Tinicum for 28 years with her husband Tex.  They have three children and two grandchildren.

Diane Allison:  Diane is a graduate of Delaware Valley College with a degree in Animal Husbandry.  Diane and her family have lived in Tinicum since 1978.  For the last 17 years Diane has worked for Johnson and Johnson in Microbiological Quality Assurance.  She is passionate about the environment with birds being her first love.  In the past Diane has served on the Tinicum Environmental Advisory Council and the Board of Bucks County Audubon.  She is the compiler for the Central Bucks Audubon Christmas Bird Count and the Bucks County compiler for the Pennsylvania Migration Count, both of which include Tinicum.  Diane and her husband Dave have two grown children and enjoy traveling, hiking, biking and camping.  On the board Diane will be working with the Conservation Spotlight Programs.

Nancy Bousum:  Nancy has lived in Tinicum Township since 1975.  A graduate of Green Mountain College in Vermont with a degree in elementary education, she began her current career as a Real Estate Broker in 1977.  A conservationist at heart, Nancy lends her talents to managing the Conservancy’s easement monitoring program and coordinates all of the paperwork and volunteers involved with the process.

Jeff Keller:  Jeff and his family have lived in Tinicum since 2001.  Jeff has his own business, Habitat by Design, and works as a restoration ecologist.  His work includes a wide range of activities such as stream restoration and wetland mitigation design, design of low-maintenance landscapes for corporations, and naturalization of out-of-play areas on golf courses.  His educational background includes an undergraduate degree in biology from Penn State, and two graduate degrees in wildlife ecology from Cornell.  As a professional ecologist, Jeff often assists the Board with issues related to habitat management for biodiversity or species of interest, as well as control of invasive species.  He also helps conduct ecological baselines for conserved properties.

Betsi Campbell: Betsi  has been a member of the Conservancy since “escaping” from New Jersey to Tinicum 6 years ago. She and husband John live in a log house on 10 acres in Erwinna. Betsi retired from 31 years at the Department of Labor in New Jersey where she developed programs for dislocated workers. She recently retired again from 5 years of consulting for the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University. The timing was right when she was asked to manage the membership database for the Conservancy and is now the Membership Chair and the newest member of the Board.

Jim Vaseleck:  Jim joined the Conservancy’s Board of Trustees in 2004.  A current resident of Uhlerstown, Jim has lived in Bucks County for 18 years, the last nine of those in Tinicum Township.  Jim earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the College of William and Mary and is now in-house counsel for the Law School Admission Council, a nonprofit association of law schools based in Newtown.  Despite his busy schedule, Jim lends his legal talents and writing abilities to the Conservancy whenever needed.

Jack Halstead.  Jack is a Pennsylvania native, who has lived in Tinicum for the past 30 years. He is an avid fisherman, gardener, and enjoys time with wife, Marlene, three daughters and two grandchildren.
